Josiah Bashford (
1720- 1808)
Josiah Bashford was most likely born in Pembury Kent around 1720. He is most likely the child of Thomas Bashford and Ann Burtenshaw.
He married Sarah Boniface on Oct 9 1749 in Southease, Sussex. Sarah was born in 1719 in Lewes Sussex and was the daughter of John Boniface and Mary Ashby.
Josiah and Sarah had 4 children, three of which grew to adulthood

- Josiah Bashford (b. 1758 - d. 1758)
- Josiah Bashford (b. 1760 - d. 1835) married Sarah Moone Oct 11 1784 Steyning, Sussex
- John Bashford (b. 1760
Sarah died in Shoreham by Sea, Sussex in 1778. Whilst Josiah died in 1808. There is a death recorded for an Ann Bashford in 1752 which could very likely be either the couples youngest child OR Josiah's mother
