Euphemia died at the age of 77 on 10 September 1875 at 3:30pm from Kidney Disease at Penston Gladsmuir where she was living with her son <ac:link><ri:page ri:content-title=\" William Hardie 1833\" /><ac:link-body>William</ac:link-body></ac:link> .
