Eltinton is a variation of the the name Elkington - also seen Elkington  and its range of variation - such as Elkinton ; Elkerton or Eltenton. Eltinton is - are believed to be a place names, derived from the anglicisation of  Ealac's dun which means a hill or fortress (dun) of Elta and is referred to as Eletone and Elletone in the Domesday Survey of 1087 

Current research identifies the earliest known ancestor of our Eltinton line as being James Eltinton of Leire Leicester. James grand-son Thomas Fullelove emigrates to Australia in 1863.
