Eltinton Family
The Mouser name is either an occupational name for a vermin controller, or more likely in the Middle Ages was a nickname. It is found primarily in the East Anglia, specifically Norfolk and Suffolk.

Elkington Family


Elkington  and its range of variation - such as Elkinton ; Elkerton or Eltenton. Eltinton - are believed to be a place names, derived from the anglicisation of  Ealac's dun which means a hill or fortress (dun) of Elta and is referred to as Eletone and Elletone in the Domesday Survey of 1087 

Current research identifies the earliest known ancestor of our Mouser Eltinton line as being William Mouser of Suffolk. Williams James Elkington of Broughton Astley in Leicester. It is James' great great grand-daughter Lucy Mouser married John Jessop who emigrated son Thomas Fullelove who emigrates to Australia in 1838 after her death1863.
