Our family line is first found in Lasswade, Midlothian in the late 1600s.
The earliest confirmed member of our Smith line is Robert Smith. His great great granddaughter Christian Smith is the mother of Jessie Stoddart who emigrates to Australia with her husband William Hardie in 1879.
