The Bygrave family .... 

Current research identifies the earliest known ancestor of our Bygrave line as being Thomas Robert Bygrave Esq of Jamaica. It is his Aldenham in Hertfordshire. My line of the family finds itself in the West Indies in the late 1700 and then in the mid 1800s, Robert's great granddaughter Jane Bygrave who emigrates to Australia in 1853.
