My Hardie Family |
Historically it has been identified that the Hardie clan originated in Fife Angus region (for more information check out the Hardie Name Meaning). Current research identifies progenitor of our line of the Hardie family as first being documented via his marriage in the Clackmannan Parish. Additional research is indicating that the family may infact have moved there from the Pittenween area of Fife.
There are birth and marriage registrations are contain in all 4 parishes of Clackmannan County, however the majority are located in the Clackmannan Parish. The family moved from Clackmannan to Saline, Fife in the mid 1700s.
The earliest known member of our Hardie line is Robert Hardie. It is his great great great grandson William Hardie who emigrates to Australia in 1879.
