My Pendlebury Family

The Pendlebury name is directly associated with the town of Pendlebury in Lancashire. You can find out more about the history and meaning of the Pendlebury name.

Current research identifies our line of Pendlebury's appears in the seat of the family - Westhoughton (in the Parish of Deane)  - in the late 1500s. The earliest recorded member of our family line is James Pendlebury born around 1580 in Westhoughton, Lancashire. This James is the 6 x Great Grandfather of Mary Hayes who emigrated to Australia with her husband David Yates in 1883.
