Roger Pendlebury was born in 1668. He was christened on October 11, 1668 in the Deane parish church - St Mary the Virgin, Rumworth. He was the child of John Pendlebury 1636 - 1697 and Elizabeth Morres.of Westhoughton
Upon the death of this father in 1797 he inherited Colliers Farm , Lostock.
He married Anne Stones on 12 Sep 1698 at the Deane Parish church - St Mary the Virgin, Rumworth.

September 22Â Â 1724
 A Short Memorandum how I Roger Pendlebury of West Houghton do Dispose of my Lands and personall Estate is as follows ---
 First it is my minde that all my Debts and funeral Expenses and the Charges of the probate of my will be paid out of my whole Estate
 Item I do give to my sone John Pendlebury my Estate Called Colliers with a Charge of one hundred pounds towards the fortunes [maybe 'portions'] of my yonger Children
 Item I do give my Estate called Whittles to my two Sones Garrat and Ralph Equally between them with a Charge of forty pounds
 Item I give this Tenement where I now Dwell and the two Cloaces Called the witch Hayes to my sone Roger with a Charge of forty pounds and further it is my minde that all the Remainder of my personall Estate which is over and above paying my Debts and funerall Expenses and the Charges of proving my will Shall be for the use of my three Daughters
 And it is likewise my minde that all my Children live together and occupie my Reall and personall Estate joyntly together as formerly for the better Improvement thereof until some of them Shall marry and all Such Improvement so made after my Decease I do order to be Equally Devided amongst my Children and I do nominate and appoint John Pendlebury and Garrat Pendlebury my sons Executors of this my last will Revokeing all former wills by me heretofore made in wittness whereof
I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and yeare above written
 Signed Sealed published and declared by the said RogerPendlebury to be his last willand Testament in the presence of us
