Last Will and Testament

In the name of God Amen the two twentieth day of January 1663 in the fifteenth year of the Reign of our Sovereigne Lord Charles ye second by the grace of God of England Scotland France (?) and Ireland (?) King Defender of ye Faith I George Bigrave of Rushden in ye County of Hertford being sore (?) prevale in body but of sound and fit (?) memory (praise be given to God for the same) Do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say first that I comend my Soule to Almighty God my Creator assuredly believing that I shall receive full pardon and free remission of all my Sinnes and be saved by the precious Death and meritts (?) of my blessed Saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ and my body to the earth be buryed in such decent manner as my Executrix heereafter named shall be thought meet and convenient And for my worldly estate which the Lord hath Lent me my will and meaning is the same shall be bestowed as heereafter by this my will is expressed And first I revoke renounce frustrate and make void all wills by me formerly made and do declare and appoint this my last will and testament Item (?) I give and bequeath unto John Bigrave my Brother five shillings to be paid within one month after my decease Then (?) I give to Edward Bigrave my Brother five shillings to be paid within one month after my decease Then (?) I give to William Bigrave my Brother five shillings to be paid within one month after my decease Then (?) I give to Elizabeth my loving wife my cottage and tenament on Southern Green with the Appurtements during her Natural life and after her decease to my brother Robert Bigrave and his heirs forever to have and to hold the said cottage and appurtements to the sole and propper use of him the said Robert and his heirs forever Then (?) I give to my Sister Susan Bigrave and her heirs ye Sume of Eight pounts to be paid out of that my cottage or tenement by her brother Robert within one year after the decease of Elizabeth my wife Then (?) I give further to Anne Bigrave my Sister four pounds to be paid out of the said cottage or tenement within two years after my said wifes decease Lastly I give and bequeat to Elizabeth my wife all my moveable goods and chattels whatsoever payeing my debts and discharging the legacies mention in this my last will and doe make her the sole Executrix of the same
