Historically it has been identified that the Bain name originates from Scotland (for more information check out the Bain Name Meaning). Research to date has identified the earliest ancestore of our line of the Bain family as being Robert Bain of Clackmannan, Scotland. It is his grandson James Bain who emigrates to Australia in 1862.
