Will of Margaret Bygrave
In contemplation of the certainty of death and of the uncertainty of life I Margaret Bygrave of Elstree in the county of Herts, wido do make this my last will and testament. First I ? that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid I give and bequeath to my sister Elizabeth Carlaw of ? widow and to my nephew William Trumper of ? farmer son of my brother Edward Trumper all my ? furniture plate books china ? to be divided between their share and share alike I also give to my said sister Elizabeth Carlaw the sum of forty pounds of lawful money of Great Britain and I also give to my said nephew William Trumper ? life sum of forty pounds of lawful money of Great Britain I give and bequeath to my sister Ann the wife of Bryan Trumper the sum of ten pounds of lawful money of Great Britain. I give and bequeath to sister Harriet Powell the wife of Henry Powell the sum of ten pounds of lawful money of Great Britain. I give and bequeath to Harriett Powell the daughter of my sister Harriet Power the sum of ten pounds and all the residue of my property whatsoever and whatsoever I give and Bequeath to John Bygrave Esq of Elstree my Brother in law and I appoint the said John Bygrave my sole executor to this my last will and testament dated this twentieth day of November one thousand eight hundred and twenty three
