George Higson was born in Middle Hulton in 1623.

George died in January 1690 in Middle Hulton, Lancashire. Alice his "now wife" was named executor but stood down from the job due to poor health.
It is unknown as to whether Alice was the mother of his children, but it is known that they are married at the time of George's death. There  is a 1680 married between a George Higson and an Alicia Heywood

Last Will and Testament
The Last Will and Testament of George Higson of Middle Hulton died Jan 1690
In the name of God Amen I George Higson of Middle Hilton in the County of Lancaster Yeoman being ???? and infirme of body and consideringe the certainty of death and the uncertainty how soone Doe constitute ordain and make this my Last Will and Testament in forme and manner as ffolloweth
First and principally I bequeath my soule into the hands the Almighty God my maker hoping that through the meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ my only saviour and redeemer to receive free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins And for my body to bee buried at the Parish Church of Deane in the said County of Lancaster at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named
And as concerning my Personal Estate which it hath pleased God to endow mee with it is my will and mind that my debts and funeral expenses shall first be paid and discharged forth of my Persona Estate and after the payment thereof
Then I give and bequeath unto Alice my now wife one halfe headed bedstead...(there now follows a long list of goods & chattels)..and that Box which Alice my now wife brought with her to me house after shee was married to mee the said George Higson.
Then I give and bequeath unto my daughter Alice the wife of Thomas Risley the sum of ffive shillings
And the rest residue remainder and ?????? of all my personal goods and chattels I give and bequeath unto Giles Higson Ralph Higson John Higson George Higson and Prissilley Higson my sons and daughter equally to bee divided amongst them share and share alike
And further it is my will and mind that if any person or persons herein named to whom I have given any Legacy or Legacyes doe committee any suit or suits either in Law or equity in contempt of this my last will and testament, then and in such case, it is my will and minde that my executors hereafter named or one of them shall pay or tender to every such psons or psons soe offending the sum of twelve pound a peece in full satisfaction of theire said legacy or legacyes and the remainder of such said legacy or legacyes shall bee equally divided to and amongst such of my children as are submissive and obedient unto this my last will and testament.
And lastly, it is my will and minde and I doe nominate and appoint Alice my now wife, Gyles Higson and Raph Higson my sones executors of this my last will and testament and also I doe nominate and appoint George Higson my sone xxxx to see this my last will and testament executed in forme and manner aforesaid, disannullinge and revokinge all former wills and testaments whatsoever.
In witness hereof I the said George Higson the testator have hereunto sett my hand and seal the seventeeth day of June in the year of our Lord God one thousand six hundred eighty nine. Anno Dom 1689.
Sealed, signed published declared and delivered the last will and testament of the within named George Higson in the presence & witness of:
Raph Boardman   Grace Boardman   Willm Boardman
NB: on ?th day of February 1690, Alice repudiates her nomination as Executor on the grounds of ill health and nominates her sons Giles and Ralph to stand in her stead; they are granted probate on the same day
