Margaret Dynan 1890 - 1974

Margaret Dynan was born on April 9 1890 in Balmain, NSW where the family were living at 177 Beattie St. She was baptised at ???. She was the fifth child and second daughter of James Joseph Dynan and Margaret Cecilia Sweeney.

When Margaret was around 5 the family relocated from Waverley in Sydney to the Tweed Valley. Her father worked as a cane cutter for a number of years before becoming a dairy farmer at Dunbible Creek near Murwillumbah.

Margaret married John Joseph Darrough on 31 January 1912 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Murwillumbah. John Joseph was the son of John Darrough and Clara Jones.

John and Margaret lived in the Tweed Valley 

Between 1914 and 1939 John and Margaret produced eleven children (five sons and six daughters), seven of whom lived to adulthood:
